Music to my Ears | ||
It's time to rock this joint with some of Raison's fine music. Whoo hoo! Creating the Music Find and select the Music Data tab, create a new object and open it's properties (we should be down with this routine by now). There's not a whole lot to fudge with so lets go straight ahead and name our music object "quest". This is another coded object so make sure you name it "quest". For the Music Path enter "quest.mp3". On the right we have some default settings - for the tutorial we don't have to worry about Priority, just set Volume to 255 (max) and Pan to 128 (mid). Close the window. Let's Hit It Save your progress here again and generate some new data. Now run the application and press "P" to start the music and "S" to stop it. You may be wondering why we didn't add it to the scene? Well we could have, but we want the ability to start and stop it - any music loaded in a scene is automatically played. Thus you can set a scene's background music if you wish. But we don't need that so we didn't put it in the scene. Let's take it up a notch. |
