When you are ready to generate new data, you simply press this button. Doing so will update all the data files currently loaded into the Data Generator. Don't forget to do this before you re-run an app expecting it to use new data! Doing so can be the source of much confusion. Also note that this button will be greyed out and disabled if no data files are currently loaded.

If you are generating data for the first time, then this action will create several .dat and/or .cfg files in the same directories as the various data files. These are the files to use in your application.
